Understanding cognitive and behavioral abilities of human users in accessing and learning graphical information without vision.
Experimental evaluation of Cognitive and Psychophysical parameters involved in haptic-based information access using touchscreen devices.
Interactive Information Appliance for the Elderly Population The project focused on improving the quality of life for elderly population using ELDERNET, which can help them socialize, engage in community events, update current affairs and connect them with their family and friends.
Topological Relations between Punctured Regions and Simple Regions The topological relations that can be realized between punctured regions (namely regions with holes) and simple regions (namely regions without holes or separations). Then, I systematically derived the topological relations possible for point punctures and regional punctures and then analyzed the functional dependencies between these differing types of punctures.
Augmented Reality for Learning Indoor Maps using Touch-Based Devices Developed and evaluated a multimodal interface that allows visually impaired users to access indoor floor maps in real-time using touch-based devices. Using the device’s camera as an information acquiring medium, It extract colors of the map elements and make the device to trigger different haptic cues based on the color detected on a user’s touch point.
